Joining COVID restrictions for restaurants in the NYC and So. CAL. markets, Hawaii has announced the return of 50% capacity for bars and eating establishments effective immediately. Philadelphia has announced the return of mask mandate. And other markets have stated that they are reviewing action / possible restrictions in the coming days and weeks as the DELTA variant continues to be in the news… the effect these new / returning restrictions will have on the industry pose a real risk specifically to the food service segment that has already seen 90,000+ establishments close since the start of the pandemic according to the National Restaurant Association.
