Yesterday, Gov. Cuomo provided a COVID update that recommended all New Yorkers, even those who are vaccinated, where masks in public. This echoes a recommendation from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The Governor mentioned multiple times that he no longer has the authority to issue a mask mandate and that any such rule would have to come from individual municipalities rather than the State. To this point no municipality has taken steps that would require masks to be worn at all times in public.
